Jere Coughlin saw immediate success when he printed the first edition of the Watertown Herald in 1886. Jere established a solid reputation as an expert printer. His competition admired his “painstaking care,” “grace of expression” and use of “unusually good paper.” Jere Coughlin’s attention to detail and high standards for quality set new standards for the upstate New York printing industry. Today, more than 130 years later, Coughlin continues to strive to achieve new levels of quality and innovation. Our heritage and experience allows us to understand the ever-changing business world and culture of the North Country.
Much has changed over the years, and we work hard to adapt and grow. Recently we have married many of our print products with their digital counterparts—brochures and ebrochures, printed books and ebooks, direct mail and email; the list goes on.

Jason is the mastermind behind Horizon Aerial Media Services. He purchased his first quadcopter in order to be able to determine which field the deer were in. He quickly realized the multitude of uses for this piece of equipment and the idea was born. Jason is in charge of safely flying the quadcopter within his line of sight.
Amanda was tasked with research and development, so to speak. She handles most everything but the flying. Amanda created the current business plan, marketing materials, sample presentations, flyers, brochures, business cards, forms, etc. Her Business Administration degree is finally being put to good use!
On site, Amanda is in charge of the camera from her tablet, controlling the gimbal, deciding when to use video and when to photograph. Amanda directs Jason as to where to fly the quadcopter – higher, lower, left, right, etc.
After filming is finished, she handles all of the editing of the photographs as well compiling the video footage into the finished product. Amanda also does the voiceover work on occasion as well as edits the photos, prints labels, burns the CD’s, packages them for delivery and anything else office related.
We take pride in our work and hope you enjoy the final product.

It is the mission of River Hospital to provide compassionate, cost effective and accessible primary health care to the year round and seasonal residents, and visitors of the River Communities. The hospital prides itself on high quality outpatient, inpatient and specialty services to meet individual and community needs through partnerships with our patients and communities we serve.
Threatened with closure of the hospital in 2000, a group of concerned citizens formed a task force to appeal to the New York State Department of Health to become an independent institution. Through their efforts, the hospital is ‘reborn’ as an independent facility and named “River Hospital” on April 15, 2003. In the years that followed the opening of River Hospital in April 2003, until the conclusion of the 2006 fiscal year in December 2006, River Hospital was confronted with many challenges as a start-up operation. There were many obstacles to overcome in establishing services in the area such as attracting staff, and physicians, and assuring the community that River Hospital was a viable entity. Fortunately, there was tremendous community support for River Hospital including significant philanthropy which was of great assistance to River Hospital in navigating the difficulties in establishing financial viability.
Fortunately, at the end of fiscal year 2006 all the initially planned elements for services at River Hospital were about to be initiated. In September of 2007, River Hospital opened its Ambulatory Surgery Unit, The Anthony C. “Tony” Malara Operating Suite. This addition to the services provided by River Hospital now offers the option of having minor surgical procedures and colonoscopies performed on an outpatient basis, close to home. In 2008, River Hospital celebrated its fifth anniversary of operation, the opening of the new modular building housing River Community Clinic and the opening of Jefferson Eye Surgeons Ophthalmology clinic. The movement of River Community Clinic into the new building will allow the Clinic to serve more patients and allow room for new Physicians joining the hospital. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) were implemented in River Community Clinic in July of 2011 helping to better our goal of delivering the best patient care possible while improving efficiency and enhancing security.
In 2012, several services were added to River Hospital including Convenient Care, Observation Unit and River Community Wellness Program. The Hospital had seen significant growth and the new service lines reflected that. In addition, River Community Clinic was re-named River Family Health Center to more adequately define the primary care practice.

Born, October 9, 1949 in Syracuse, NY. I started work as a sculptor in 1964 carving images of Ethiopian famine refugees in my family’s cellar using plaster pillars. National Geographic and Time issue’s shocked and inspired me.
In 1970- 1971 I was living in Big Sur, Califorina, where I began carving in Utah sandstone, Kanab stone and regional soapstone. I traveled alot then and showed in various Gallery’s. In 1972 I spent three months studying in and around Florence, Italy and attended Henry Moore’s lifetime retrospective while there.
I have become fluent in many sculptural mediums over the last 55 years including clay; Ceramics; plaster; wood; wax; bronze; stone; steel; Alumiunm; copper; resins and epoxies. I was the bronze finisher in the foundry at “Montoya Art Studios” in West Palm Beach, FL and was also the shop foreman for “Nile Design” in Palm Beach, FL.
There have been many studios over the years, many throughout the Thousand Islands area of the St. Lawrence River in northern New York, and in 1991 I built the my largest in Omar, NY. This is now the site of ‘Omar Welding” an all service welding shop. All things coexist….
Some of my works are plaster piece molded for bronze “lost wax” productions, employing life casts as tools for expressing realist emotions. Also Ceramics have joined my works and commissions.
Works range in style from figurative abstraction to figurative realism with a strong dose of social commentary delivered in satire. Lately I’ve explored imagery of the female form in silhouette abstraction in larger than life scale. This series originated from drawings of the figurative abstract angel commission which was featured in the NY Times. My figure drawings of live models are being used for the next phase of works to explore this imagery to its’ fullest. using welded steel as the medium. Publishing rights have been purchased twice for this series.
I have received several commissions including grants from the Antique Boat Museum and the Homer Dodge Foundation. Among my commissions are Gargoyles; angels; crows; lighthouses; signs; furniture; railings, weathervanes, large outdoor Japanese screens, trees, fish, bears, loons, swans and more.
A new sculpture project depicting images of ” the end times” ( not in the religious sense) has begun and will last till my end. “Moonwalkers” This is my commentary on the human condition.
In the 1990’s I showed many works in NYC Galleries, SoHo, NY, but have gained regional fame for creating the “3 Crows” on Route 81 in Jefferson County, NY. 13624. Also many works have been collected by the “Elizabeth Collection” at Artisan Works in Rochester.
Previous recent commissions were the ‘Tree of Knowledge” for the Hawn Memorial Library in Clayton. Installed on 11/3/13.
Also a large “Breaching Muskie” sculpture for Frink Park Installed 11/2014. Commissioned by the People of Clayton.
Then a commission for a “Standing Bear” weathervane for Comfort Is. Installed August 2015.
