Business Description
United Way of Northern New York unites communities, resources, and partners to collaboratively address local needs, foster impactful programming, and enhance quality of life. We rally around “Live United” as a model for ensuring that critical needs are met, vital programs are accessible, and individuals have opportunities to make a better life for themselves.
WHAT WE DO

Rally community support for vital programs that address: social determinants of health, child /youth success, and economic stability.

Engage community members in funding decision-making and other volunteer opportunities.

Coordinate programs in partnership with local schools – Meals with a Mission, Food 4 Families, School Age Child Care (SACC), and Community Schools.

Connect ALICE workers to resources.

Facilitate Bridges out of Poverty, Getting Ahead, and Workplace Stability workshops.

Offer professional development opportunities to nonprofit and business partners.
