Ship Watch

Come to Clayton and watch the Ships pass...  Pictured here are a few of the Metal Giants that float leisurely past our beautiful waterfront village, located on the St. Lawrence River.  Some of the biggest Freighters are 740 feet long, 78 feet wide, and draw over 25 feet of water.

The boats that pass by Clayton in a summer are numbered in the thousands.

It is a nice day trip from Clayton to Massena to visit Iroquois, Eisenhower and Snell locks.
