The Clayton Chamber of Commerce  seeks a motivated, energetic self-starter to fill the Executive Director position and promote the Clayton – 1000 Islands Region.  Candidate must have good social, communication and written skills. Multitasking and organizational skills a necessity.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and the Internet are required.

 

Responsibilities include working with a six-figure budget; developing a marketing/PR plan to promote the community; fundraising; event planning; writing promotional materials; partnering with other organizations and local tourism entities; managing a small staff; maintaining the financials in QuickBooks;  managing the Chamber health insurance program; and assisting current Chamber members along with recruiting new members. College graduate preferred with a degree in advertising, business, marketing, public relations, or a related field. Appropriate experience may be substituted for a degree. Salary in the $30k’s with health insurance available.
