The antique Boat Museum welcomes the public to the oar, Paddle & sail Nights hosted throughout the summer. The first week-end in august the annual antique Boat show and auction is scheduled and draws exhibitors and vendors from around the world. Before leaving make sure you check out the Museum store and pick up a nautical keepsake. of the handweaving Museum located in a historic village building on John street, brings the visual arts alive in the 1000 Islands through art instruction and exhibits. The arts Center also offers a variety of classes from painting, building rustic furniture to making your own pottery in the new pottery studio, equipped with a resident potter year round. Tour their gallery of ever changing exhibits such as "along The River's edge" that showcases the work of area artists or pieces from the museum's permanent collection of hand-woven textiles and rare spinning and weaving tools. Visit the new Gallery store, James street, featuring works of local artisans, books, crafts, bead bar and more.
